Madelyn joined Ad Astra on January 2023 adding value and expertise in the Budgeting and Planning practice. She is a Certified Public Accountant with over 18 years of experience in General Accounting, Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting, Reporting and Analytics and Financial Compliance in both public and private sectors. Prior to Ad Astra, she worked for 3 years at the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico as a Finance Manager where she successfully led the certification of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico budget for two consecutive years. In that time she designed actual vs budget financial reports to identify spending patterns and determine its impact on future budgetary needs and made specific recommendations to the Puerto Rico Department of Treasury. This design was with the purpose of improving its financial systems and implement policies and procedures that transform its operations to become leaner, more efficient and provide accurate financial data.

Madelyn has proven to be a strong team builder and facilitator across her career. She has been recognized by her peers for her leadership roles. She is pro-active in developing ideas that address business needs and use business knowledge to influence financial decisions. She continues to seek opportunities where her experience and expertise adds value to enhance business activities and result in improved business outcomes.
