Maria joined Ad Astra on September 2024 and she assisted the Grant Management and Finance practice.

She is a Certified Public Accountant with over 12 years of experience in compliance, audit, accounting, finance, project management, and grant management in the government sector. She has a thorough knowledge of policies and regulations applicable to financial statements, budgetary accounting, government accounting, audit procedures, project management, as well as, subject matter experience in grants management and disaster recovery funds. She worked state-side for the Big-4s for five years, Ms. Lebron was able to gain valuable experience in leadership roles where she developed and improved audit procedures, business procedures, compliance evaluation and project management skills while managing a wide range of clients and team members. She led the three CDBG-DR FEMA Match Programs for PRDOH Grant Managers and has provided crucial support to Puerto Rico 84 state agencies, 78 Municipalities and Not-for Profits within the disaster recovery fund management field. Additionally, she has assisted the Public Sector in Debt Reconciliation procedure and reporting skills necessary for leadership decisions and overall island financial health. She also assisted PREPA and PRDOH in the energy electrical grid rehabilitation programs development to improve Puerto Rico energy grid rehabilitation resiliency.
